Special thanks to team captains Kella Zacher and Pat Crowell and board member Doug Gerwitz for their considerable support with Masters practice.  Thanks also to our wonderful coaches Rudy, Kyle, and Craig for their willingness to step in and provide additional coaching time during the interim Masters Head Coach vacancy.  More news on that below!

Volunteer Coordinator Found!

We are so pleased and thankful to Marc Weinstein for agreeing to serve as volunteer coordinator. Marc has started brainstorming ideas for projects for the betterment of the club. Please be on the lookout for info regarding an upcoming work party. We promise to make these fun and social in addition to completing much needed improvements to our space!

Portland Collegiate Rowing (an LOCR program) Update

So far, our season is running extremely well, with over 20 committed athletes sharing our beautiful LOCR boathouse and water. We've had two extensive training camps, plus our three regular practices during the week. The rowers have been making significant progress.

We want to thank our talented coach, Kyle, for accepting this coaching position. We're also grateful to our volunteers, leadership, LOCR community and, of course, our dedicated rowers. We are looking forward to our first regatta, the Charlie Brown Regatta, hosted by Lewis and Clark on October 28th.

We also want to give a shout out to the Lake Oswego Swim Club for allowing us to use their venue for our swim test. Their head coach, Emily, went out of her way to accommodate us, ensuring the safety of our rowers.
