LOCR welcomes our new administrative assistant, Sherry Busch! Sherry will assist with programming registration and other club business to help us operate more efficiently and respond to member questions and needs promptly.

End-of-Year Celebrations

The Collegiate Team hosted a mini-ergathon and potluck brunch on November 19. Rowers sprinted 500m before quickly switching rowers and rotating through their teams until completing 20k! Well done teams!

The high-school rowers (Novice and Varsity) had their end-of-season party on December 3.  These kids had a great time celebrating their whirl-wind, successful fall season.

Award Recipients for Varsity Team: Emma Skalsky (Coaches); Saxon Kitchin (Most Improved Athlete); Connor Kelly (Leadership); Laurel Vanagas (Coxswain)

Thank you for your feedback! We hear you!

As discussed at our recent board meeting, we appreciate our members’ time in completing the recent engagement survey. LOCR has faced some challenges this year, and we are grateful for our members’ support and input on ways we can improve their experience at LOCR. It is clear that we’ve made some great strides but/and we have work to do in the coming year. Please feel free to reach out to board members and coaches with your ideas and comments anytime, and please consider joining our monthly board meetings (remote participation is always available). Your Board is working hard to make this club a great place to row!

LOCR is Recruiting!

LOCR is recruiting for a Director of Rowing and coaching positions for Head Masters, RowFitness, and Learn to Row (these positions may be combined). Please see job postings on LOCR website and consider sharing within your networks.

Boatswains Needed!

Winter season is a great opportunity to get our fleet in order. Once the spring starts, we’ll be off to the races for nine months before we get another breather. We are looking for Masters, Youth, and parents who would be interested in helping with our winter fleet maintenance program. We need everything from organization, cleaning, minor repair, and painting. Join the #boat-maintenance channel in slack or talk to your coach about helping out! Please also be on the lookout for future Boat Maintenance 101 Workshop opportunities for all teams.
